United and Delta launch sale on round-trip flights to Belize

There are already several reasons why Belize should be on every traveler’s radar.

The beautiful beaches, plentiful snorkeling opportunities, rich culture and magnificent Mayan ruins are all well worth the price of an airline ticket. But when airfare is available at roughly half the normal price, a visit to this Central American gem is a no-brainer.

Delta Air Lines and United Airlines are slashing fares on round-trip flights to Belize City from U.S. cities such as Austin, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Some routes are going for as little as $252 round-trip, which is significantly cheaper than these routes have been priced at for awhile.

The travel window is primarily focused on August and November of this year. Please note that the flights will involve layovers. The discounted tickets in this sale are for the airlines’ basic economy tickets. A carry-on is included with Delta’s fares but not with United’s — the first checked bag will cost $80 for both United’s basic economy and economy tiers.
