After all, half the fun of a trip is the early stages, where the world is your oyster. Whether you actually intend to go to the places you’re looking or not, it sure is nice to imagine yourself there.
When scrolling through the Airbnb Instagram, you can picture yourself pretending to be royalty in a castle or living out your “Jungle Book” fantasies in a treehouse tucked away in a remote destination.
Airbnb isn’t always perfect, but the home-sharing platform has been working hard to make it easier than ever to find that perfect booking that fits your specific needs — and without any surprises once you arrive there.
Although Airbnb doesn’t have a loyalty program, it’s still possible to earn airline miles or cash back when booking one.
Now, Airbnb has shared its most-liked properties on Instagram from 2023, giving us all a little travel lust. Properties include a chic treehouse in Tuscany, a floating tiny house in Canada and a lush bamboo house in Indonesia.
The Best View of Quintay — Quintay Casablanca, Chile
A “guest favorite” stay starting at just $214 a night, you can have sweeping views of the sea and the mountains at this 484-square-foot abode that’s stylish, cozy and clean. From the bed, gaze out the picture-perfect floor-to-ceiling windows framing Quintay’s Bay on the Chilean coast just 90 minutes from Santiago.
Eco Bamboo House — Abiansemal, Indonesia
It seems like everyone wants to go to Bali. If you’re one of the few who doesn’t, let this eye-catching, thatched-roof Airbnb change your mind. This bamboo house has two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a small kitchen. Its open-air design lets fresh air circulate while your eyes feast on the lush flora and fauna right outside.
Although it’s in a rural environment, the Airbnb hosts can arrange to get everything you want or need delivered to the Airbnb, so you don’t have to worry about going to the store. The best part? The entire place can be yours, starting at $499 per night.

Jungle Home — Tulum, Mexico
Once-bohemian Tulum has taken a very luxe turn with the openings of hotels like the Waldorf Astoria. Still, sometimes it’s best to get an off-the-grid place all to yourself so you can sit back and relax.

It’s a little on the pricey side compared to other properties on this (rates start at $1,200 per night). However, if you factor in splitting that cost between the eight guests it can host, you’ll realize it really is a steal.

Sleeping in an open-air glamping cabin on a flower farm might not be on your bucket list, but it should be. The best place to do it is at the Tanglebloom Flower Farm in Brookline, Vermont. According to the listing, its screened walls let in fresh air and keep the bugs out, so it’s a great place to feel one with nature.
It’s also a minimalistic retreat with an outdoor kitchen with running hot water and a single-burner propane cooktop, an outdoor shower, limited electricity and no heat. There’s also a year-round wood-fired hot tub for guests to enjoy. Nightly rates for this flower-filled stay start at $263 per night.
Meditative Beachfront Retreat — Walkerville North, Australia
This stunning home in Victoria is a creative refuge that, as the listing describes, isn’t quite a tiny home and isn’t quite a beach house. Still, it has everything you need in a home: “somewhere to cook, somewhere to bathe, somewhere to rest.”
Designed as a place for a single guest or a couples retreat from the world, guests can enjoy complimentary coffee, Starlink satellite internet and direct access to the beach (but it’s recommended you bring your own beach towels). While the home has a beautiful, contemporary design, the best part is the view of the beach and the hills beyond. You can book this stay starting at $260 per night.
