Targeted Chase cardholders can earn up to 10,000 bonus points through Chase Travel

Chase cardmembers should check their accounts for a generous new travel promotion offering up to a total of 10,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points.

Firstly, targeted cardmembers can earn 5,000 bonus points if they book at least two Chase Travel components with their eligible credit card consisting of both a hotel stay plus a flight, cruise or car rental. Southwest Airlines flights can now be booked through Chase Travel.

Cardmembers can earn an additional 3,000 bonus points when booking three or more travel components, including an additional hotel stay, cruise or car rental.

If they have not made any purchases through the Chase Travel portal since March 1, 2023, cardmembers will earn an additional 2,000 points, so a possible 10,000 points in total for booking at least three travel elements through the portal. This bonus can only be earned once per cardmember during this promotion.

Cardmembers must activate and make qualifying purchases between March 1 and May 31, 2024, and complete travel by Dec. 31, 2024.

TPG values 10,000 Ultimate Rewards points at $205. Purchases can be made separately but must total at least $150.

Cardholders must book and complete travel by the end date. Note this bonus can only be earned once per cardmember; therefore, even if you have multiple eligible Chase cards, you will not earn additional bonus points. Bonus points will be credited up to eight weeks after completing this promotion.

Remember that hotel bookings made through a third party like Chase Travel would not be eligible for elite status benefits like early check-in and free breakfast. So, if you do hold elite status, weigh those benefits against the bonus points you would earn for this promotion. Alternatively, this could be a good time to book a boutique property that doesn’t participate in a major hotel loyalty program.
