Witnessing the dramatic incident from his first-floor dorm room, Max didn’t hesitate to spring into action. He immediately rallied his fellow students after seeing the car skid on the icy road, flip over, and plunge into the canal.
“I looked out the window and saw in front of me a car skidding away on the other side of the canal and flying into the canal,” he recalled.
With unwavering determination, Max dashed outside, calling for assistance from his housemates. Despite facing initial challenges, including difficulty extracting the woman from the submerged vehicle, Max’s resourcefulness prevailed. A well-timed hammer throw allowed him to shatter a window, enabling him to rescue the shocked driver and bring her safely to the canal’s edge.
