Airline loyalty program promotions (February 2024)
Airline loyalty programs can offer discounts on trips on certain dates, the chance to earn more miles for future travel and deals to rack up points toward elite status. Some of the active promotions for frequent flyer programs include:
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club status match offer
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is offering to match your status with multiple airline loyalty programs before Valentine’s Day. The status match offer is valid for those with American Airlines AAdvantage and United Airlines MileagePlus status, among other programs, if they’ve also booked a future Virgin Atlantic flight.
The program is also offering an upgraded status match to British Airways Executive Club members who book a Virgin Atlantic flight in Premium or Upper Class.
- You must book a Virgin Atlantic flight and complete this form with your Virgin Atlantic Flying Club number.
- If you prove top-tier status in one of 12 programs listed on Virgin Atlantic’s website and have a future flight booked in Premium or Upper Class, you will receive Flying Club Gold. If you’re in a “similar tier” within one of the eligible airline loyalty programs and have any Virgin Atlantic flight booked for the future (any cabin), you will match to Flying Club Silver. - For the British Airways Executive Club upgraded status match, Bronze members will receive Flying Club Silver status; Executive Club Gold and Silver members will receive Flying Club Gold.
- Your Flying Club Gold or Silver membership remains valid for 12 months from when your account is upgraded.
- Gold members have to earn 1,000 tier points during the membership period to keep their status. Silver members have to earn 400 tier points in that same period to maintain status.
- During this promo, you’re not eligible to match to Flying Club Gold if you’ve held Flying Club status previously. You’re not eligible to match to Flying Club Silver if you’ve held Flying Club status previously through a status match.
- Offer expires Feb. 14.
Discount on buying Air France-KLM Flying Blue miles
Get up to 50% off purchases of Air France-KLM Flying Blue miles when you buy at least 4,000 miles.

Hotel loyalty programs occasionally offer discounted stays, ways to earn extra points and deals at various properties. Here are some of the active promotions:
Bonus points for stays with Choice Privileges properties
Choice Privileges is offering 8,000 bonus points for members who book and stay at participating properties twice by April 30.
- You must register for the promotion and book rooms at rates at or above $40 per night to earn bonus points.
- The offer can be redeemed up to four times during the promotional period (before April 30) for a maximum of 32,000 bonus points.
- Offer ends April 30.
Bonus points on stays at Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy
Marriott Bonvoy members who register for the promotion by Feb. 29 can earn bonus points on eligible stays at Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy properties through May 31.
- Get 10,000 bonus points on eligible stays when booking at least three nights in a private home rental through Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy.
- Must register for the promotion by Feb. 29 and spend at least $1,000 on a stay of three or more consecutive nights to earn points.
- Stay must be completed by May 31.

Credit card promotions (February 2024)
Credit card issuers sometimes offer deals and discounts for certain cardholders on everything from airline travel to restaurant dining. We rounded up some credit card promotions that are active now (remember, some offers may be targeted):
Chase cash-back offer with Southwest Airlines
Those who hold the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card or Chase Sapphire Reserve can earn up to 10% in cash back on flights booked with Southwest Airlines for at least $50.
- Those who hold Chase cards with the offer earn 10% back on flights departing from March 1 to March 31.
- Earn 5% cash back on flights booked for other dates.
- Offer valid once for a maximum of $40.
- Offer expires Feb. 29. Flight must be booked by the offer’s expiration date.
Chase Sapphire Reserve offer with Great Wolf Lodge
Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders can earn cash back on purchases with Great Wolf Lodge.
- Get 10% cash back on your Great Wolf Lodge purchase when you spend $100 or more.
- Maximum $48 cash-back earnings.
- Offer expires March 10.
Targeted Chase offer with Marriott Bonvoy
Targeted Chase cardholders can get cash back as a statement credit when spending at least $100 at Marriott Bonvoy properties.
- Earn 10% cash back as a statement credit when spending at least $100 at any Marriott Bonvoy property.
- Maximum $80 back in earnings.
- Offer expires March 11.
Chase Sapphire Reserve offer with Element Hotels
Those who hold the Chase Sapphire Reserve can get cash back on a stay with Element Hotels after spending at least $100.
- Get 10% cash back on your stay when you spend $100 or more at Element Hotels.
- Maximum $57 cash back with this offer.

Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi vacation deal
If you hold the Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi (see rates and fees), you can earn a Digital Costco Shop Card when booking an eligible vacation package.
- Book an eligible vacation package to a select location (destinations listed here) using your Costco Anywhere Visa and enter your promo code at checkout to redeem the offer.
- Earn a Digital Costco Shop Card valued at 20% of the total price of your vacation package.
