Today’s good news story comes from Warren, Ohio.
In a heartwarming act of kindness, Ansley Davenport, a security guard at Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren, Ohio, demonstrated the true spirit of compassion by giving away his own shoes to a man in need.

While on duty at the Emergency Department, Davenport noticed a gentleman whose feet seemed to be causing him considerable discomfort.
“I noticed a guy. His feet were hurting. I think he asked for something to drink, we were trying to help him along. I went and got him a bottle of water, and we started talking and he was in there for his feet,” Davenport recounted in an interview with WYTV.
Instead of stopping at providing a bottle of water, Davenport took it upon himself to go the extra mile. He enlisted the help of another guard to find out the man’s shoe size, which turned out to be a size 12. Without hesitation, Davenport removed his own size 12 shoes and handed them over to the grateful individual.
“Alright, I got a size 12 for you,” Davenport said, adding, “I took them off, gave them right to him, and I actually finished the rest of my shift in socks.”
