Ingredients You’ll Need for Whipped Goat Cheese with Grilled Peaches

Ingredients on a cutting board. Ingredients on a cutting board.
  1. Hot honey – Hot honey is made with honey, a sliced chile and red crushed pepper. It adds a sweet kick of heat to the creamy goat cheese and smoky grilled peaches.
  2. Goat cheese – Chèvre or goat cheese is made with fresh goat milk and its taste is so incredibly light, tangy and creamy. All you need to whip it is a food processor and a splash of heavy cream.
  3. Heavy cream – Heavy cream or cream cheese can be used to whip goat cheese. I love to use cream because it’s lighter but either one is fine!
  4. Peaches – Grilled peaches are one of the best ways to enjoy this incredible summer fruit. Use either a propane grill outside or a grill pan over the stove.

How to Make Whipped Goat Cheese with Grilled Peaches

  1. For the hot honey. To a small saucepan pour in honey, your sliced chile and red crushed pepper flakes. Cook over medium heat until it reaches a simmer. Remove the pan from the heat then allow it to cool for 10 minutes. If you’re not serving immediately, strain honey then store in the fridge until your ready to use it.
  2. For the grilled peaches. Heat a grill or grill pan over the stove. In the meantime, toss sliced peaches with a drizzle of olive oil. Grill peaches on each side for 1 minute then place into a bowl with a sprinkle of salt.
  3. For the whipped goat cheese. To a food processor add goat cheese and heavy cream. Pulse until very smooth. Transfer to a piping bag or store in an air tight container until later.
  4. Assemble. Pipe whipped goat cheese onto sliced bread then serve topped with a few grilled peaches and a spoonful of hot honey.

Tips and Tricks

  • Make ahead. Make the hot honey, strain out the chiles then store the cooled honey in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. For the goat cheese you can store it in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Switch up the goat cheese. Instead of using plain goat cheese try using honey or blueberry flavored goat cheese for a different flavor combo.
  • Serving suggestions. Serve whipped goat cheese on toast(like I did!) or transfer cheese to a large serving bowl topped with grilled peaches and hot honey. Serve as a dip with bread sticks, pita chips, pretzels or crackers.

  • 1 Food processor

  • 1 grill or grill pan

  • 1 Piping bag

  • 1 Small sauce pan

To Make the Hot Honey:

  • In a small saucepan, pour in the honey, sliced chile and crushed red pepper. Turn the flame to medium and when it reaches a gentle simmer, remove from the heat and allow to steep for about 10 minutes. I served this right away, so I left the peppers in it for good looks. If you’d like to serve this the next day, you can strain the honey and store it in an airtight container in the fridge.

To Grill the Peaches:

  • Preheat your grill. You can also do this using a grill pan over the stove. To a medium bowl, add the peaches and toss with the olive oil. When the grill or grill pan are preheated, add the sliced peaches and cook on each side for about 1 minute. Remove and transfer back to the bowl. Sprinkle with a few pinches of salt.

To Make the Whipped Goat Cheese:

  • In a food processor, add the goat cheese and heavy cream. Pulse until very smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary. If the goat cheese is not room temperature it may need to come to room temperature to get super smooth. When the goat cheese is smooth, transfer to a piping bag OR if not using right away, you can transfer it to a air tight container and store in the fridge. (You may need to give it a good stir if it’s chilled.)

  • Pipe the whipped goat cheese onto the sliced bread or you can spoon it on and smooth it out onto the bread slices. Serve with the grilled peaches and hot honey.
